  14. Enclosed is MXMClock, yet another menubar clock program.  This one
  15. requires 32bit Color QD and a system running multifinder or System
  16. Seven.

  18. This is an update of MXMClock that I just sent out that crashed on
  19. computers with bad/corrupt Menu Color entries.  This version uses a
  20. PICT instead of obtaining the menu bar color for a background.  I also
  21. added pref file code.  Now when you quit MXMClock it writes the changes
  22. to a prefs file.

  24. You can change the location of the clock by clicking on it and dragging
  25. it to a new location. When you quit, the new location will be saved.
  26.  
  27. It has some intelligence now that if the clock location is off the
  28. monitor, it will move it on screen.  I does not detect other menu icons
  29. though.  It does detect if the menubar height has been set to 0.

  31. In my constant vigil to replace all my startup documents with
  32. applications, (I don't like things patching the system when it doesn't
  33. have to) I created this clock program that I use to replace SuperClock.
  34. It doesn't do anything fancy. It just displays the current time in the
  35. menubar.

  37. This version requires resedit to change the options. I will fix this in
  38. a later version.  Also I plan on making it a Background only app also.

  43. Font 
  44. Font Size
  45. Baseline
  46. Show seconds
  47. and Waitnextevent sleep time.

  49. These things can be set in the CLCK resource; a template is provided for
  50. editing.

  56. P.S. I started work on this long ago when I thought it would be a half
  57. hour hack.  After banging my head for over two weeks I lost interest in
  58. the program.  After reading c.s.m.p one day it dawned on me what was
  59. wrong with the program: If you call GetGworld or Setgworld DO NOT CALL
  60. SetPort ever again!
